From 2012 to 2014, he joined Prof. Israel Schechter's group in Technion-Israel Institute of Technology to do researches on a new analytical technique named Multiphoton Electron Extraction Spectroscopy (MEES) supporting by China Scholarship Council (CSC).
Before joining GTIIT in 2019, he has been working as a postdoctoral fellow in the faculty of Laser Science and Technology at Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST). Between 2019 and 2020, he was awarded a Postdoctoral Fellowship at Technion's Faculty of Chemistry supported by Technion-Guangdong Fellowship Trust.
He has over 20 research papers published in professional journals. His current major research interest includes laser spectroscopy (e.g. MEES, LIBS), Surface analysis and Micro/nano-fabrication.
At GTIIT, Dr. Tang gives the lectures of Analytical Chemistry 1 for Engineers, Analytical Chemistry 2 (Expanded) and Analytical Chemistry by Laser. In addition, he works as an instructor in the laboratories, e.g., Analytical Chemistry Lab 1 for Engineers, Analytical Chemistry 2 Lab and Organic Chemistry Lab 1, etc.
