Dr. Yu received her B.E. degree in Chemical Engineering from East China University of Science and Technology, M.S. and Ph.D. (2018) in Chemical Engineering from Missouri University of Science and Technology. She joined the Multiphase Flow Science group in National Energy Technology Laboratory as a postdoctoral researcher and worked there for 3 years until becoming a part of GTIIT. Her research interest focuses on process simulation, reaction engineering, multiphase flow simulation, clean energy utilization using coal/biomass/plastic, and hands-on hot flow gasification experiments. Her research combined experimental and simulation, and her papers were published in several top journals including AICHE Journal, Chemical Engineering Journal, Particuology, Powder Technology, etc. She also presented her work at several international conferences, including the AICHE annual meeting of several years.
Dr. Yu tutored several courses and students when in her Ph.D. in both Chemistry and Chemical engineering departments: General Chemistry 1 and 2, Organic Chemistry Lab, and Computational Fluid Dynamics.
