Position Description:

The Mechanical Engineering Department of Guangdong Technion – Israel Institute of Technology contains teaching labs with three major directions, including: (1) thermal science and mechanics, (2) manufacturing and processing, and (3) robotics. We are now hiring a lab manager to help the design, establishment, and maintenance of the teaching labs. Most importantly, this lab manager will help different faculty members to ensure the teaching labs are operating smoothly and safely.

Duties and Responsibilities:

·?????? Assist faculty members to purchase equipment

·?????? Install, learn, check, and debug the equipment

·?????? Establish the experimental setup and prepare the users’ manual

·?????? Communicate with the other departments such as campus construction department and EHS department

·?????? Other teaching-lab-related works assigned by the deputy department head for teaching infrastructures

·?????? Assist the lab sessions

·?????? Make the equipment/computers ready before the lab course

·?????? Maintain and manage the equipment

·?????? Check the equipment regularly. Fix the equipment together with the manufacturer

·?????? Supervise students,answer their questions and ensure their safety while they are doing experiments

Required Job Specifications:

·?????? Engineering background with a Master or Ph.D. degree

·?????? Experience-related research background

·?????? Experience in giving lab lectures is preferred

·?????? Work experience in related area is preferred

·?????? Language ability: Fluent in English and pass CET-6 (at least)

·?????? Scrupulous and patient to students

·?????? Love to work as a team and assist others
