As the graduation season arrives, under the support of the Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism and Sports of Shantou Municipality, a musical feast unfolded on campus as scheduled—Shenzhen Longgang District Philharmonic Symphonic Orchestra delivered a heartfelt performance for the celebration of GTIIT commencement 2025.
Founded in 2015, the orchestra boasts over 70 members and has established itself as a large-scale, professional-level ensemble. Over the years, it has been dedicated to promoting wind music culture, delivering high-caliber performances that resonate with the spirit of the times.

Before the concert began, the gym entrance was packed with eager attendees. As the spotlight centered on the stage, the audience fell into hushed anticipation, waiting for the first notes to fill the air.

The grand opening of Symphony No. 5 in D Minor, Op. 47 - IV. Allegro non troppo marked the beginning of this artistic celebration. The performance then swept through a series of timeless classics, such as Memory from the musical Cats, William Tell Overture, Homeward, and Carmen Suite. From the sonorous depth of the tuba to the brilliant highs of the trumpet, from the mellow tones of the saxophone to the crystalline clarity of the xylophone, the music wove a dialogue across time and space, masterfully guiding the audience through waves of emotion.

Chinese masterpieces also took center stage—The Beauty of Prairie Night painted vast landscapes with its expansive melodies, while the impassioned Longing echoed the Chinese people’s yearning for a brighter future. The richly evocative Eastern harmonies, fused with the grandeur of symphonic winds, offered the audience an amazing auditory experience.
On stage, the symphony soared; in the audience, lights shimmered. As each piece concluded, thunderous applause filled the gym, serving as a resounding tribute to this romantic journey.

As the concert neared its close, the entire venue joined in singing Tomorrow Will Be Better, with music, lights, and fireworks merging into joyous waves. In this moment, four years of youth and dreams at GTIIT reached their perfect finale.
