On June 15th, Guangdong Technion - Israel Institute of Technology (GTIIT) successfully held its Open Day and the 2025 National University Admissions Exhibition (Shantou). The event attracted over 280,000 participants both online and offline, receiving enthusiastic responses.

"This year, our students have received more than 300 offers from 90 top universities worldwide. Nearly 60% gained admission to top 10 global universities, over 70% to top 30 institutions, more than 80% to top 50, and over 90% to top 100," announced Prof. Lin Danming, Pro-Vice Chancellor of GTIIT, presenting the outstanding graduation outcomes of 2025 graduates. These remarkable results fully demonstrate the achievements of GTIIT's distinctive education model - emphasizing mathematics and science foundation, problem-oriented teaching, research orientation, and innovation integration.

Wang Chenhao, an alumnus of Cohort 2019 from Materials Science and Engineering (MSE) Program, share his experience titled "GTIIT Empowerment: Achieving Overtaking on Academic Path". He recounted how he utilized the university's abundant research resources to develop scientific interests and push boundaries during undergraduate studies. Having completed his master's degree at University of Pennsylvania, he will pursue his PhD study at EPFL.

Assoc. Prof. Aleksandra Baron-Wiechec from GTIIT MSE Program delivered an immersive English lecture titled "How to Put the Sun in a Bottle?", introducing fusion reactor concepts and discussing technical challenges in nuclear fusion.

Faculties from GTIIT's six programs comprehensively explained each discipline's characteristics and prospects, inspiring students' scientific curiosity and helping them identify their academic interests.

The consultation area was crowded with visitors as admission officers provided comprehensive guidance about application and campus life.

The Open Day featured access to more than 10 cutting-edge laboratories equipped with sophisticated instruments, allowing families to experience firsthand where scientific breakthroughs are made.

Visitors toured modern teaching buildings, well-equipped gymnasiums, comfortable dormitories, and the unique rainwater garden.

In the afternoon, the 2025 National University Admissions Exhibition (Shantou), organized by Shantou Education Bureau, Guangdong Xinkuai Express and Shantou Media Group, was held at the Sports Center of GTIIT's South Campus. Dozens of universities established consultation booths, creating a one-stop service platform for university applications, attracting over 6,000 attendees.
